Serves: 10 approx. 1/4 cups
What’s better than thick, rich chocolate frosting on your baked goodies? A medicated one! With this buttercream recipe you can easily transform the last course of your meal into an experience your adult guests will surely delight in. Something wonderful about simple, yet delicious recipes like this is the ability to double or triple the servings and using unmedicated chocolate if a lighter dose is desired for larger confections. Storage is simple; just cover and toss in your fridge for up to two weeks and be sure to let it warm up to room temperature before using. Don’t forget to lick the spoon!
Stand-up or handheld mixer.
1 cup softened butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 grön chocolate bar, chopped
1 tsp vanilla
How it’s done:
Heat heavy cream in sauce pot until just boiling. Place chopped chocolate in a small bowl.
Pour cream over chopped chocolate and let sit for 3-5 minutes. After sitting for that time, stir mixture until combined and set aside.
Beat softened butter in mixer until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar gradually until fully combined, follow with adding vanilla.
Pour cream and chocolate batter slowly into mixer, allowing ingredients to incorporate fully.
